Poetry Reading Hosted by Poet Jameson Bayles

Jason Baldinger has traveled the country and written a few books, the latest of which are The Lower 48 (Six Gallery Press) and The Studs Terkel Blues (Night Ballet Press). A short litany of publishing credits include Blast Furnace, The Glassblock, Lilliput Review, Green Panda Press, Pittsburgh Poetry Review, In Between Hangovers, and Your One Phone Call. Roy Beckemeyer received an MS from Wichita State University and a Ph.D. from The University of Kansas, both in engineering. His work has appeared in a variety of mostly regional literary journals, including Gazebo, Beecher's Magazine, Kansas City Voices, The Midwest Quarterly, Straylight, The North Dakota Quarterly, Nebo, Mikrokosmos, Coal City Review, and The Bluest Aye, as well as in the anthologies Begin Again: 150 Kansas Poems (Woodley Memorial Press, 2011), and To the Stars through Difficulties: A Kansas Renga (Mammoth Press,2012). Roy was the Kansas Authors Club poet of the year for 2013, and won first place in Beecher's 2014 Poetry Contest. His first book of poetry, Music I Once Could Dance To, was published by Coal City a Review and Press in 2014.

 

 

 

 

 

Al Ortolani’s prose and poetry has appeared in Rattle, New Letters, the New York Quarterly, The Midwest Quarterly, The English Journal, The Quarterly, The Laurel Review, Prairie Schooner, Word Riot, Camroc Press Review, and others. He is the author of one chapbook, Slow Stirring Spoon, High/CooPress, two collections of poetry, The Last Hippie of Camp 50 and Finding the Edge, both published by Woodley Press at Washburn University. His third book of poetry, Wren’s House, a collection of haiku, published by Coal City Press in Lawrence, Kansas. Book four, Cooking Chili on the Day of the Dead, was published by Aldrich Press, CA. His fifth book, Waving Mustard in Surrender, was released from New York Quarterly Books, New York, New York. His sixth collection, Francis Shoots Pool at Chubb's Bar, came out in February 2015 from Spartan Press in Kansas City, Missouri. Al's work Paper Birds Don't Fly was published by New York Quarterly Books in April 2016.  Ghost Sign with J.T. Knoll, Adam Jameson, and Melissa Fite Johnson from Spartan Press in Kansas City is out in October.

 

Damian Rucci is a poet, writer, and internet personality based out of Keyport, New Jersey. He has performed his poetry across the country and his work can be found in dozens of literary journals both in print and digital. He is the author of the chapbook A Symphony of Crows (Indigent Press 2015) and of the forthcoming Tweet and Other Poems (Maverick Duck Press 2016). He is the host of the renowned Poetry in the Port reading series and the editor of the Bayshore Review.

 

 

 

 

Scott Silsbe was born in Detroit. His prose and poems have appeared in numerous periodicals including Kitchen Sink, Third Coast, Nerve Cowboy, and the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. He is the author of two small press books—Unattended Fire (2012) and The River Underneath the City (2013). He lives in Pittsburgh where he writes, sells books, and plays in a couple of bands.
