This is a much-anticipated sequel and it is finally here! Pet and Matthias had a bit of a 'will they, won't they' going on in the first book, and I, for one, am thrilled that they did. Lucy Parker has the incredible ability to marry the real and the romcom in a way that makes her books feel tangible and grounded: this book deals with trauma in a grounded and realistic way, and these two learn to love their flaws as they fall in love with each other. But, there is also a heist involving some parrots. It's all about balance. This book is hilarious, heartfelt, and so so Lucy. Recommended by Kahill
