Sarah’s Reviews

Cherry Ames Student Nurse Stories by Helen Wells

Oh, I loved these books! It is so exciting to see these reissues of the original titles. Like Nancy Drew, Cherry Ames is a smart, plucky, resourceful and caring young woman who solves mysteries and helps others as she fills various positions as a nurse. Yes, they are throwbacks, but so much fun. Cherry is a wonderful character. Recommended by Sarah Young.

Another fine entry in the Maisie Dobbs series. This novel is a thoughtful exploration of the hopes and dreams of the WWI generation, whose lives and futures were forever changed.
